Traditionally, fish is caught, stored and processed in large volumes. The recent shift towards differentiation of the catch require development of customized solutions for the physical handling, planning and control of smaller batches both on vessels, during unloading, and in onshore processing and storage.

This part of the QualiFish project is set out to develop more efficient logistics in fish value chains. The work will be carried out by identifying problem areas and improvement potentials related to production logistics and through the development of concepts, models and methodologies for planning and control of operations, enabled by new technology and ICT.

Objective: Development of concepts, models, methodologies and tools for efficient and effective production logistics, enabling individual handling and supply of product quality and volumes according to market requirements.
